SomaYoga Therapy
SomaYoga Therapy is a blend of Traditional Yoga, Therapeutics, and the Neuromuscular Re-education of Somatics. SomaYoga Therapy resolves pain and teaches new movement patterns to keep you out of the injury/pain cycle.
What is SomaYoga?
Years of stress & repetitive movement patterns can lead to chronic muscular tension and pain. You can address these underlying patterns through the active learning process called Somatic Neuromuscular Re-education and Yoga Therapy, also known as SomaYoga.
SomaYoga techniques help you release chronic muscular holding and pain, retrain your nervous system, restore posture, expand your breath, and learn fluid movement patterns. The result is greater freedom in how you move, greater freedom in how you feel, and greater freedom in your life.
Sensing & feeling our bodies from within is essential to pain relief, healthy fluid movement, and connecting to who we are more fully. Together we can reawaken your mind's control of movement, flexibility, & health.
In a culture of quick fixes, SomaYoga gets to the root cause of pain and teaches you how to heal. SomaYoga is efficient & effective because you are in partnership with your body, mind, and spirit. Sensing and feeling our bodies from within is essential to heal our patterns and create long term change.

SomaYoga Therapy is Individualized for You & may include the following:
Review your health history, considering all aspects of your lifestyle and wellness goals.
A postural and movement assessment.
Educate you about your nervous system, pain responses, and the power of your mind, breath, & lifestyle to influence health and healing.
Functional Breathing Techniques to promote healing.
Meditation, and Energy Healing to promote relaxation which can result in an immediate reduction in pain, tension, and stress.
Work with you, hands on, to help you "sense and feel" your patterns of restriction and holding that cause pain in your body.
Help you rediscover your optimal range of motion.
Provide you with a home program that helps you reach your goals and time availability.
Yoga Therapy empowers you to play an active role in your own healing process. Sessions with me integrate Somatic Movement, Functional Breathing Techniques, Meditation, & Energy Healing to reprogram your nervous system and pain signals in the body. Private sessions also support you in creating a lifestyle for whole being well being.
